Shipping and Returns
We typically ship via UPS Ground (with detailed tracking) for most shipments. Note that the UPS packages will require a signature upon delivery (to ensure they are not left at the door). Because of this requirement, customers often have the package shipped to their work address for convenience. We also offer USPS Priority Mail shipping. Priority Mail is available in a flat-rate envelope and a medium sized flat rate box. The envelope is used for shipping keys and small parts. The medium size box will hold several locks and typically will arrive faster than UPS Ground. The final option is local pickup. If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to meet in Redwood City or Mountain View select this option.

Due to contract regulations we are not allowed to sell most of the locks we offer outside of the United States. Unfortunately we will not be able to respond to international inquiries at this time; sorry for the inconvenience. If you or your installer ever require assistance with a product purchased from Bay Area Locks, we do not charge for telephone assistance while installing or servicing your locks. Assistance on the weekends is also available.

Products purchased from Bay Area Locks can be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided that the items are in resellable condition and include the complete packaging originally shipped with the product. A restocking fee may be imposed if the item is not in resellable condition, or has obvious signs of being used or installed. Special order items may not be returnable. Please contact us first for special order items.

Note that shipping will not be refunded, and please ensure you use a shipping method that includes insurance and confirmation of delivery. To obtain a return authorization number, send an email or call us with your order number and the product you would like to return. A replacement product, store credit, or refund will be issued when the product arrives to us.
